Balances the vital currents of the small intestine

 

The small intestine is made up of three parts: The duodenum which surrounds the top of the pancreas, the jejunum which folds up on itself vertically and the ileum which lies horizontally and is joined to the cæcum. The role of the small intestine is that of food assimilation.

 

After food is separated in the upper part of the digestive tract, the small intestine selectively and according to the needs of the body, re-absorbs carbohydrates, lipids and proteins. These various elements are necessary for the production of living substances.

 

The function of the small intestine is that of sorting, therefore, its proper functioning supports the choices and decisions a person uses to build their life. It is more sensitive in the season of summer. 

 

Together with the heart, the small intestine makes up one of the five organ-meridian families. It relates to the sense of sight.
